Jim McShane III
Jim is a lifelong resident of Northwest Indiana and has held many leadership positions for nonprofits in the region. Jim has ten years of experience in leading workforce boards in Lake County, Indiana and Southeastern Illinois.
In October, 2009 Jim became the Executive Director of GRANTS Inc. and the Co-Project Director of the IU Northwest Non-Profit Institute. He holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Management from Calumet College of St. Joseph and received a Masters in Public Administration (MPA) at Indiana State University. Jim has held leadership positions on an array of nonprofit boards which include local hospital boards, the NWI Forum Board of Directors and the board of the Calumet Council Boy Scouts. Jim has a wealth of experience in grants management and grant oversight.
GRANTS Inc, operating as the South Shore GRANTS Center is a federal work-study site.
Debbie Niksch
Debbie is currently pursuing her Masters in Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Management at Indiana University Northwest. She expects to graduate in 2012.
Francine Huber
Utilizing the skills of Calumet College students, Frannie has joined the SSGC as our lead researcher. Looking for grants via our search engine subscriptions. Frannie is a graduate of the Human Services program of Calumet College of St. Joseph in Whiting, IN and is currently back at Calumet College pursuing a BA in English.
